End of the quarter
Yay school is nearly done for this quarter. I have 2 more days of "class" which basically involves me throwing together 2 presentations, a project with report and a term paper. All of this stuff is group work also so I get to schedule lots of fun meetings with group members. At least it's almost over though.
Claire came back from China yesterday. I haven't got a chance to hang out with her yet but I think David's spent all day with her today.
A couple weeks ago I got a phone call from Lexmark asking if I'd like a co-op this coming winter quarter, which I said yes to because I was so busy working on other things at the time I hadn't really thought that much about it. I haven't heard anything back from them though so maybe they changed their mind or figured out that I'm actually a grad student and they don't give co-ops to grad students. Either way it was a strange phone call. It pretty much went something like Them: "Hi, want a job?" Me: "OK sure." Them: "Alright we'll get in touch soon." Anyways I hope I hear back from Xetron. That seemed like the company I was the most interested in.
As for winter break I'm not sure what all is going on yet. I guess 17thFloorCon will be at my place, either on the 29th for the OSU game or on new years. It'll be fun to see all the old 17th floor people again since it's been awhile. Craig you better show up too, no excuses about being in DC or lost in Alaska or something strange. Be there!
Nothing else exciting to mention right now. I'm just wasting a little bit of time before heading out of the office to get dinner then do what I've started calling "homework triage." Homework triage is the act of having too much homework, so you try to plan out when to get everything done or mostly done in the most efficient manner. Not much learning occurs, it all just gets done. With that said, I think I'll head out of here now. OK Peaceout.
